  오늘 12일 오후 블랙핑크 BLACKPINK 제니JENNIE가 서울 강남구 플랫폼엘 컨템포러리 아트센터에서 솔로 데뷔 싱글 솔로 SOLO 발매 기념 기자간담회를 열었습니다.

  YG엔터테인먼트 걸그룹 블랙핑크 멤버 제니가 솔로 활동에 앞서 특별한 목표를 세웠다고 합니다. 사장님 양현석이 다 죽이고 와라고 했다는 것입니다. 제니는 평소엔 수줍고 말 잘 안 한다고 합니다. 그리고 여자 지드래곤 GD이라는 타이틀에 대해 비교자체가 큰 칭찬이라며 감사하다고 잘 뒤따라 가겠다고 말했습니다.

Jennie Kim (Hangul: 제니김; born January 16, 1996) is a South Korean singer, rapper and member of the girl group Black Pink under the label YG Entertainment. Jennie Kim was born in January, 1996 in Anyang, South Korea. At the age of 9, she was sent abroad to study in New Zealand. In 2006, she appeared in the MBC special documentary "English, Must Change to Survive" and spoke about her experiences with the language and her life in New Zealand. In 2010, she moved back to South Korea and participated in an audition held by YG Entertainment, later successfully joining the label as a trainee. During the six years Jennie spent training under the company, in 2012 she featured on label mate Lee Hi's song Special, as well as made an appearance on Big Bang's G-Dragon's music video That XX. In 2013, she featured on G-Dragon's song Black and GG Be by Big Bang's Seungri.

  In August 2016, she debuted as a member of the girl group Black Pink. The group has released two digital single albums, Square One and Square Two, as well as two EPs, Blackpink and Square Up. In Mid October 2018, an announcement of Jennie's official solo debut was made.
